I totally agree with Katherine: the card was great the first few years I had it but now, with the New Rule one has to purchase much more to qualify for reward travel. I'm looking for another card (Capitol One?) and am dumping my Citi Premier Elite at $75/year!

This was a great card for the first two years I had it. There is a NEW rule (they will lie to you over the phone and tell you that this rule has always been in effect, but it is not in my original T&C) stating you must purchase = your flight miles. Thus if you spend $400 on an JFK-LAX ticket and fly the 4,500 miles, you will only get them that month (or ever) if you spend an additional $4,100.

I earned 16,500 flight point last month, and this is the first month they are only crediting $1,800, which is equal to my purchases. I thought the point of the card was to earn more points than I spend?

Essentially you get 2X the points on all transactions, and anything more that you fly you will never see.
