Citi Premier Pass Credit Card
The Citi Premier Pass Credit Card is a favorite credit card amongst travelers. One of the biggest reasons is you are not stuck with using the same airline for every flight. This gives a lot of flexibility when choosing your flight. The Citi Premier Pass Credit Card comes in two levels. You have the regular card and the elite level card. Here are a description of both.

As you can see from the comparison that the Elite level is for people who travel frequently like business people. Since they earn double miles and can get free airline tickets it is Citi’s justification of charging an annual fee and a higher interest rate. The standard level of the Citi Premier Pass Credit Card is perfect for the person who likes to use their credit card to earn that yearly vacation airline ticket. Since you are not tied into one airline it gives you the flexibility to purchase your airline ticket on any airline and with no blackout dates it makes it one of the best airline mile credit cards available. Apply for the Citi Premier Pass Credit Card.

The Citi Premier Pass airline card is one of the most flexible credit cards out there. Earn a ton of miles without having to use the same airline.
This was a great card for the first two years I had it. There is a NEW rule (they will lie to you over the phone and tell you that this rule has always been in effect, but it is not in my original T&C) stating you must purchase = your flight miles. Thus if you spend $400 on an JFK-LAX ticket and fly the 4,500 miles, you will only get them that month (or ever) if you spend an additional $4,100.
I earned 16,500 flight point last month, and this is the first month they are only crediting $1,800, which is equal to my purchases. I thought the point of the card was to earn more points than I spend?
Essentially you get 2X the points on all transactions, and anything more that you fly you will never see.
I totally agree with Katherine: the card was great the first few years I had it but now, with the New Rule one has to purchase much more to qualify for reward travel. I’m looking for another card (Capitol One?) and am dumping my Citi Premier Elite at $75/year!
